It’s springtime, the air is fresh, every day brings new blooming spring ephemerals, and I’ve just completed my third program in three weeks with Mary Bonhag.  Mary was the soprano soloist in the Gossec Requiem that I did with the Burlington Choral Society, in Don Jamison’s Raine Songs with the Onion River Chorus, and in Robert De Cormier’s They Called Her Moses that we did this morning at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier.

Working with her is nothing less than the experience of being in musical heaven. She is intelligent, has a big heart, dynamically partners every musician in the room, and inhabits the soul of each piece she sings with great respect for the composer. All this while riding on the wings of a beautiful voice.

She is an adornment to my life, and to all who hear her sing.
